Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes, Knitpop offers the following discounts on 5+ yards of a single full price fabric (custom prints & premium products excepted):
5+ yards of a single fabric 10%
10+ yards of a single fabric 20%
20+ yards of a single fabric 30%
The discount is automatically processed when you go to checkout. In the mobile app, it won't break it down by line item but you'll see it as an 'automatic discount' in the sub total.
Exclusions: Clearance, Sale and otherwise discounted items; no other discounts may be applied.
Can I purchase a full bolt of fabric?
Yes, if it is available to us we can make it happen! Most rolls have upwards of 80 yards. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
Are your fabrics CPSC Compliant?

Why are you charging sales tax? Knitpop is based in California. I'm out of state.
Due to a supreme court decision (Wayfair vs South Dakota) there have been huge changes in the sales tax laws, it gave US States the authority to require e-commerce businesses to charge and collect sales tax on shipments into their state, even if the business does not have a physical location in that state. As a result, e-commerce businesses (including Knitpop) have to charge and remit sales tax if the meet certain thresholds. If you look closely at receipts from other online retailers or marketplaces like Ebay, Etsy and Amazon you'll notice you've been getting charged sales tax, for the same reason.
What if I am exempt from sales tax in my state?
If you are exempt from sales tax in your state, please email a completed, signed and dated resale certificate to Knitpop so we can mark you tax exempt for future orders. There are 37 states that accept this "Uniform Sales & Use Tax Exemption / Resale Certificate - Multi-jurisdiction" form. If your State is one of the 37, you may use this form. If not, please submit the form your State provides for this purpose. Regardless of what form you use, you will be providing the following 7 items:
- Seller name and address (in this case, Nuts & Bolts Inc Dba KNITPOP, 3106 Main St, San Diego, CA 92113).
- Purchaser/Buyer name and address (your business name and address).
- What type of business you are engaged in that qualifies you to be exempt from sales tax (Manufacturer, Retailer etc.).
- Description of your business (You sell clothing, photography, dolls, etc.).
- Description of what you will be purchasing from Knitpop and its use in the products you provide to your customers.
- The ID number your state assigned you when you registered with them for sales tax purposes. Many states call it a Seller's Permit.
- Your signature, as the form is invalid without it.

Is it enough to submit just my State Seller's Permit or my business registration certificate?
No. Knitpop needs your completed, signed and dated Tax Exemption / Resale Certificate to be able to exempt your purchases from sales tax. Your seller's permit or business registration may qualify you for a resale certificate from your state, but that info alone is not enough for us to exempt your orders from sales tax.
I've just uploaded my resale certificate. Can I be refunded for sales tax paid on past orders?
Sales tax can be refunded for purchases made within 30 days prior to date of the upload of a valid resale/tax exemption certificate. Purchases made before the 30 day mark have already had taxes remitted to the state of shipment, and cannot be refunded.
